[CEDIA 06] Russound Introduces On-Wall Speakers
September 16th, 2006 — By Arnie Williams
Russound has made a name for itself in multi-room audio with receivers, servers, and other electronics. But now the company is also manufacturing an on-wall speaker targeting home theater enthusiasts. On display at booth 172, this first-ever on-wall speaker from Russound, the Complement C7LCR, can work as center, left or right rear, and upfront left or right. Based on Super Bessel Array (SBA) technology patented by Russound, the speakers use multiple 3.5-inch drivers for smooth sound dispersion of mid/low frequencies coupled with a 1-inch high-frequency driver and enclosed in an aluminum metal cabinet. The whole speaker measures just 25.5 x 4.6 x 4.6 inches and weighs just 17.7 pounds.
