[CEDIA 06] MTX Specialty Home Theater Speakers
September 16th, 2006 — By Arnie Williams
MTX knows that the average person can’t spend multi-thousands of dollars adding a home theater to their new construction or retrofit projects. So they’ve come up with a home theater line of in-wall, in-ceiling speakers designed for contractor installation that won’t break the bank.
Take the HT2625W center channel speaker, for example. It’s an in-wall that provides dual 6.5 2-way speakers that are specially created to withstand high dynamic requirements from digital systems. They will fit a standard 2×4-inch construction, support 100W of power, and the 2.5-inch glass-fiber woofers are complemented by a 30mm cloth tweeter.
A full system would also include an HTS28W in-wall sub, HT822BDP in-ceiling 8-inch bi-pole/di-pole surround speakers, and HT622BDP in-ceiling 6.5-inch dual bi-pole/di-pole speakers.
These speakers are designed from the beginning to keep prices down but bring the full effects of surround-sound home theater to the average home buyer. MTX has these speakers on display at booth 263.
