[CEDIA 06] Denon Launches Five New AVRs
September 13th, 2006 — By Robert Harley
A good example of the AVR’s expanding function is the five new AVR lineup from Denon. The company has a long history of being first to market with new technologies—a reputation reinforced by these new receivers.
The flagship AVR-5805CI (price to be announced) sports the new Audyssey MultEQ Pro calibration and automatic equalization system. Other innovations include a dedicated port for Denon’s new iPod docking station (model ASD-1R) and ability to decode XM Radio’s new XM-HD 5.1-channel audio using Neural Sound Technology. These two features are found on the AVR-2307CI ($799), AVR-1907 ($549), AVR-1707 ($449), and the AVR-1507 ($329).
These five new models round out Denon’s 10-product AVR line.
