[CEDIA 06] CyberLink PowerCinema 4.71 Software for HD Pay-Per-View on Computers

CyberLink Corp. will showcase the first solution for accessing high-definition pay-TV satellite services. Partnering with leading TV tuner card manufacturer Hauppauge Computer Works, CyberLink has demonstrated the decryption and playback of subscription TV content.
The collaboration delivers a sophisticated PC solution allowing the reception, recording and playback of MPEG-2 HD and highly compressed MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) TV content broadcast via satellite.
CyberLink and Hauppauge have implemented signal reception, decoding, and playback of protected DVB-S2 and DVB-S content through their software and tuner card, in combination with the Hauppauge WinTV CI USB adapter. The solution supports the following devices in order to play high-definition satellite pay-TV:
USB-based common interface device (USB 2CI – external adapter)
Conditional access module for descrambling of encrypted TV content (CAM – decryption)
Smart Card (TV service provided access card)
