What do I get with my Golden Ear Club membership?
You’ll get access to special offers, inside information, and special events. Please see the member benefits page for more details.
Will I get any TAS T-Shirts, free subscriptions, or other stuff as part of my GEC membership?
No. We had originally planned to set the membership price much higher and include lots of TAS premiums, but based on feedback, we decided to keep the membership price low so more people could participate. If you want a TAS Polo Shirt, you’ll have to buy it separately. Hopefully, you’re already a TAS subscriber, but if not, please become one by clicking here (link to TAS subscription page).
Why can’t I see the special offers before I become a member?
We wish you could show you all of them, but we promised manufacturers that their offers would only be seen by members, not by the general public. We’re working on trying to give you a better idea of the special offers you can expect.
What do you mean by Insider Information?
You can expect previews of select TAS content before it appears in print. Also, special Quarterly Briefings from the TAS editors; some bonus reviews from our sister magazine, Hi-Fi Plus; previews of online content before the rest of the world gets to see it, and more.
What about passes to RMAF and CES?
If we can get them for free, you will get them for free, although the number may be limited. However, if we can purchase more, we’ll sell them to you at our cost. We’re hoping a number of GEC members will come to one of these shows and we can use them for special gatherings with TAS editors and staff.
What other kinds of Special Events will there be?
We’re in the early stages of organizing some special events for members at dealers and possibly some trips to manufacturers. Check back as we firm these up.
