Why digital XLR cable is 110 OHm ?

What is the diff between digital XLR cable and analog XLR cable ?
It's 110 Ohm alright, but when I use analog XLR that I already have to
connect between the CDP and DAC, it works just fine.
So what is the negative side effect from continue using this analog XLR cable ?
