I can't wait to see Radiohead, Manchester Orchestra, Octopus Project, Nine Inch Nails, Gogol Bordello, Cadence Weapon, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Saul Williams, and oh yeah... Rage Against the Machine (!!!) at this year's Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Is anyone else looking forward to the incredible lineup?
And oh yeah...any recommendations for things to do in Chicago when I'm not rockin' out?
:D
If you're going to Lollapalooza you should check out The Raconteurs. They were at ACL 2 years ago and totally rocked and I'm not even that big of a fan. If you have time, I'd check out The National. I've never seen them but my friend has 3 times (and I'll be seeing them in June) and says they put on a great show.
Ohhh, and Rouge Wave - I love their music!! I heard MGMT isn't great in concert, kinda boring.
I wonder if Blues Traveler is good in concert?

Thanks for the recommendations! And speaking of The Raconteurs, here's Playback's review of their CD, Consolers of the Lonely, for anyone who hasn't checked it out yet: http://magazine.playbackmag.net/playback/200805web/?folio=41
I haven't seen Blues Traveler, but I'll report back after the show!
Ooh, Blues Traveler is fun in concert. Granted, I saw them in a small theater in NYC, so I don't know how they fare in a festival setting, but still, I say check them out.
