Which TV maker is most popular in AUS?

Hi, I'm Japanese.

I'll go to AUS to study English.
I'll buy TV, but I don't know which maker is good.

Please give me advice.
I attach importance function than design.

This is a very big question, not easily answered without more information. How much space will you have for the TV? How far will you be sitting from it? Will you be watching much during the day? If so, can you control the ambient light in the room? What is your budget?

In very general terms, good plasma makers include Pioneer, Panasonic, and Samsung. Good LCD flat-panel makers include Sony, Sharp, LG, and Toshiba.
