What is Your Favorite Bookshelf Speaker?

I am going to be purchasing a set of bookshelf speakers in the near future in the $700 - 1500 and will be using a integrated tube amp and cd player only for a bedroom set-up. I will place these on stands btw. I have my research down but, wanted to hear from fellow fans. Thanks - :)

Check out the Dali Ikon 1 and Ikon 2. Also slightly above your price range ($1800/pr I think), but worth at look just for fun is the Tannoy Autograph Mini (part of their Prestige Series).
