Weiss Minerva Vs. Berkeley Audio Design Alpha for a music server system?

I'm thinking of picking up a new dac+ a music server instead of my Wadia 581i se. I have narrowed my options down to 2 dacs. Auditioning will be an unavailable option. My choices are Weiss Minerva or Berkeley Audio Design Alpha. I estimate they sound different to each other and that it is a matter of personal preference.
What is the sound characteristic of each of them?

Magico V3 > Octave 500 se preamp > Mark Levinson 432
