Video processing not working on my Onkyo tX-DS898 Receiver

I bought a Onkyo TX-DS898 receiver from a dishonest person. Turns out the I cannot get any picture through the video monitor out, S-video or RCA out . I love the sound of this receiver, both for straight music listening and for home theater purposes. Does anyone know how difficult or expensive this is to repair? Just gives a "welcome, powering up" message in the screen until I reset to factory settings per Onkyo's customer support. Now it is just a blue screen. Any suggestions welcome. This is heart breaking.

It's hard to say if this is a simple fix or not. There is, however, a workaround; you can connect the video outputs of your sources to the array of video inputs on your monitor and use the monitor's input switching to select the video source. It's not very convenient, but it would work.
