Usher Be718 Tini Dancer versus Vandersteen 2Ce Signature II

Tawalile -- Tue, 07/22/2008 - 00:17

Dears sirs:
As I have asked some advise in previous post, I´m seriously considering to upgrade my currents Totem Tabú LS.
My first choice have been the Vandersteen 2Ce Signature II (currently 220.00 USD -200 higher-) after an audition of other Vandersteen model years ago. I like Magnepan too (1.6 since 3.6 is too expensive for me)
But the recient reviews about Usher Be 718 ($2800) make me think wich one sounds better.
I know each one is absolutely differente from the others each one in its own leage. For that I feel little confused considering I have to buy without a personal previous audition.
I´ll thank You make me know your opinion and preferences. Some advise considering is impossible for me to compare since there is not importers in Mexico.
(Wich one dou you reccomends better to your best friend?)
My best regards.

The Vandersteen is a full-range, floorstanding speaker and the Usher is a stand-mount. The Vandersteen will go lower in the bass, play louder, and fill a larger room. The Usher will likely have a smoother treble.

When making a purchasing decision, you must factor into the cost the price of stands for the Usher.
