I currently have the following in my 2 channel audio system:
- Marantz SA-11S1 CD/SACD player
- NAD M3 integrated amplifier
- ProAc Studio 140 floorstanding speakers
- Cardas Cross interconnect and speaker cables
- Panamax power conditioner
I recently came across a used Marantz PM-11S1 integrated amplifier for sale and am wondering if someone has heard it and the M3 and could tell me if they think it would be worth it to trade up to the Marantz from the NAD integrated amp. Both amps have received great reviews from experts and users but only the NAD made 2007 Absolute Sound Editor's Choice list.
Any perspective would be appreciated!
Unfortunately, we haven't heard the PM11-S1, but the SA-11S1 player is excellent.
I will be reviewing the PM-11S2 integrated amp in a forthcoming issue of TAS. Thus far I'm extraordinarily impressed with the build quality and features. Physically it's a gorgeous unit. Sonically I'm still taking its measure but it has already demonstrated a tube-like warmth and richness that is rare in this segment. It's definitly a different "ride" than the NAD M3. Stay tuned.

Hello
I'm wondering if the review of Marantz PM 11S2 is available in a magazine or online. Can't wait to hear the impressions...and of course, being European living in USA, I'm always curious what happens if I bring the unit back home or vice versa, considering different voltage system.
Thank you for your response
My review of PM-11S2 will be published in Issue 194 which will mail in June. Off hand I don't know if there is a Euro-spec version of this integrated amplifier but obviously my review sample was only for 110-120AC.

Hello,
I am considering the purchase of a new integrated amplifier, with three candidates currently:
* Krell S300i
* Audio Analogue Verdi 100
* Marantz PM 11 S2
I cannot find online reviews of the last one.
My preferences go with full and rich sound (and detailed, as well)
Do you confirm the impressions you had in your March post with Marantz?
Have you had the chance to hear the Krell?
I thank you very much for your kindness
Best Regards
