It seems that there is occasional discussion on this forum about stacked ESL-57s. It also seems that while many have heard an old pair of ESL-57s, less have heard a restored pair, less again have heard a restored stacked pair, and very few have heard restored triple stacked ESL-57s. I have been using restored triple stacked ESL-57s for some years now all driven a single amplifier. This amplifier permits me to run any of 0 - 3 speakers for each channel so I can test the sound of no hands clapping and compare it with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 hands clapping. Hence, I can immediately compare a pair of ESL-57s, with a stacked pair, and with triple stacked ESL-57s. The results are very apparent. Should some be genuinely interested in using triple stacked ESL-57s, which I certainly would recommend, then I am happy to supply more information if contacted.
