Before you start to describe phantoms you hear from your speakers and discuss the "authenticity" of the playback it is good to know the micrphone type and placement during the recording.

Do you think that loudspeaker placement should “follow” the microphone placement? For instance using omni loadspeakers when omni microphone patterns are used and dipoles when the recording is made with a Blumlein configuration?
