Theta Basic transport tray

I own a Theta Basic II transport that I bought used. It worked without problem and sounded great into my Benchmark DAC until today. Without any symptoms the drawer stopped opening and closing completely...
1. I plan to take the transport apart and see if the drawer is binding in some odd way.
2. Does anyone know what the original transport used for a drawer mechanism and..
3. Does anyone know where to get spare parts for an ancient transport...
I really like the sound of my system right now and have no desire to buy a new transport. I'd rather try to fix this one.

had the exact same issue. There is a gear that gets stripped after use. After taking my unit apart, I found the gear and looked it up on ebay. Bought the part for $18 and installed it myself. Works great now.

one other note - the gear came from a person in Hong Kong.
