The loss continues.......

After receiving two issues of Playback I miss TPV even more. Even though TPV had been watered down considerably it was the best of the lot.

Playback is perhaps for a demographic group far from me? I don't know who reads it but after a brief skim I toss it I do not peruse it as I did TPV so the advertisers do not get my interest or attention. My demographic is a group that can actually afford to buy the items reviewed and discussed.

I understand we are all transitioning to an online world, but even so isn't the idea to get people to read it, view the ads, quote the magazine, create pull through?

Sigh

Thanks for the feedback. Playback is going through a transition of video editors, so I hope you like what you see in the future (next issue is out in 2 weeks).

Any additional and more specific thoughts would be welcome.

Here, btw, is a question I posed on another thread to a post related to yours:

Anyway, it helps to be more specific about readers' likes and dislikes. Take a look at Scott Wilkinson's coverage of 47" flat panels in the TPV section of Playback (Issue 5):

Too low end? Not enough technical information? Too few displays? Wrong models?

That kind of feedback will help.

Thanks.
