I don't have a thorough experience with Naim gear, never having owned any, however what you are mentionning is widely held by Naim owners. However, in the last CES, one of the rooms had all Naim electronics wired Nordost cabling (I think it was the Odin, though not 100pct sure).
I've got nothing but respect & affection for Naim components but I don't know any component that wouldn't benefit from a bit of experimentation with cabling. It may prove out that the Naim cables sound best within the Naim electronic family (or why would they go to the trouble in the first place?) but the idea that there are no other real options is cultish–and there's already plenty of that in the high end.
