System Matching : Spectral DMC30SL+(Ayre V3-->?)+Martinlogan Spire

Hi:
My systems is kinda changing one component to another over time. Clarity is good with bass kinda boomy-a-bit. Now i'm thinking about changing the Ayre V3 to something else (as it seems to be the weakest link in the chain). Any recommendation? Below is more detail:

If I'm not mistaken, the Spire has a level control for the bass at 35 hz. have you tried turning it down a bit to get rid of the boomines? Since your speaker has it's own bass amp, I'm not sure that changing out your Ayre amplifier will help you with that problem. You might also try bringing the speakers out into the room more which should tone down some of the corner bass reinforcement that you are probably getting.
