SVS Subs - Plus or Ultra Series

I am early in the process of considering purchasing a sub...I listen to a variety of music (Classical, Chamber, Pipe Organ, Blues, Reggae, Rock). I also like to listen to DVD's( DVD-A's and Movies). I have a Sunfire Ultimate Receiver and a Pioneer Elite 47Ai DVD/SACD. My mains are JBL JRX 125's...I like the horn sound (They can handle the Sunfire's power also). The center is a Klipsch RC 64. Surrounds are Klipsch RS 62's. (I am considering buying the RF 83's for the mains). This leaves the suby. I currently have an early 90's 12 in powered Energy. I have a 14 X 22 listening room. The energy sub does OK, but it feels disconnected. I have been reviewing info on SVS subs and wondering anyone's opinions. I am also considering an REL and Klipsch. I am looking for a sub in the 1k - 2K ish range. I consider Quality over Price. Thanks.

I think SVS makes fantastic subs!The others are good.

HSU Research.Their subs are equally well.

I'm a long-time happy "tube" SVS owner. Just send 'em the same info you posted here............I did notice your date of post....have you purchased a new sub yet ?
