I enjoy listening to my NuForce Ref 9 amps. Chris Martens referred to the need to "pick cables carefully," but he didn't give any further information. Could Chris give some examples of speaker cables that worked well? My amps are driving Spendor S8e speakers. Thanks.
I think Chris used Furutech speaker cables. I don't know which model.

Mike270,
The best cables I've used used with the NuForce amplifiers thus far are the Furutech Alpha-process Speaker Reference IIIs, which offer three desirable characteristics that don't always travel together:
1) Very high levels of midrange and high frequency transparency and detail,
2) Natural smoothness that, happily, is not the result of rounding off transients or of filtering out low-level details, and
3) Powerful yet very tightly controlled bass.
I've also enjoyed good results with Cardas Neutral Reference speaker cables, though they sounded somewhat "cold" straight out of the box, and therefore needed considerable burn-in before they sounded their best.
Best,
Chris Martens

Thanks Chris. And in the next few weeks I should be getting my Kuzma Stabi S/Stogi S system from Scot Markwell.
hi Mike,
I am fortunate enough to be able to try Nuforce 9.02, kharma 150 in comparison to other "normal" hi end amps.
What I can tell with certainty is that both amps are exceptionaly good by any standards.
Their sound changes significantly with change of cables(far more than normal class a or ab amps).
There is no perfect choice of cable but optimum setup and fine tuning of
your system.
I can give you suggestions if you describe the sound of your system and how you would like to change it
