Speaker advise for ARC VS 115 power ampl.

Hello to every one, depending on your experiences, which speaker do you think would be the best match to ARC VS 115 and so that vs 115 can drive them easily?, The listening environment is 50 m2.
I am thinking of proac response d38, however in some reviews I read that this speaker needed real power around 200 watts, vs 115 is 120 watts therefore I have some doubts now.  Also Im thinking of Usher Be 10,,but did not have the chance of auditioning them with vs 115 yet,,before creating a short list I will be happy if I could get your recommendations.
Thanks in advance, Kind regards

Hello,
The Usher Be-10's are fabulous sounding speakers and then some. My wife and I listened to them with Parasound Halo electronics powering them and they were phenomenal. The most enjoyable and fun, "can't wait to hear the next song" speakers that we have ever listened to ... let alone for several hours in one sitting.
The Audio Research VS115 is tubes as you know ... general rule of thumb with tube watts is that they sound much more powerful than they are specified to be in RMS values; especially AR amplifiers because they always go overboard on the power supply capacities; which is great. However, watts is watts as they say, and more is always better, be it tubes or SS. We both love that amp too.
For the Be-10's, if you use the AR VS115 power amp and could afford the following, try using two of them in a vertically biamplified arrangement ... one entire amp divided up on the right channel between its woofer and the mids & highs and another / second VS115 for the left channel in the same way. The power would double that way and you would (channel - wise) be using the equivalent of mono blocks for great separation, noise floor, etc.
Also, I think it comes with 6550 tubes. Try high quality KT88's for even more inky blackness and quietness and intimacy, etc. but where the plate current is no more than perhaps 40 mA or so so that the sound is not too warmed up or rolled off and it doesn't draw too much current and produce too much heat. 6550's are notorious for doing all those. KT88's are similar but sound much smoother and refined, etc.
Enjoy it.
