Sony BDP-S550 vs. OPPO BDP-83?

Hi folks,
I bought the Sony BDP-S550 last December.  I'm reconsidering my purchase in light of the recent reviews I've seen for the OPPO BDP-83.  I have a Bravia 46" XBR6 HDTV, VTL IT-85 integrated amplifier, a Musical Fidelity A324 DAC, and Arcarian Alon II (1st generation) speakers.  I have the following questions:
- Does the fact that the OPPO does not have Netflix streaming capability while the Sony does (at least as of this fall) mean all that much?  I understand that Netflix streaming quality is not comparable to DVD.
- Are there any significant playback differences that are apparent between the two players?
- Given both players have 24 bit/192 Khz DACs, do I need the Musical Fidelity DAC anymore?  Can DACs really go from Class A to obsolete in eight years?
Thanks in advance for your input

the Oppo is really that good. I have the same TV as you and the video looks spectacular.

I have both Sony S550 and Oppo 83. It is no contest. Oppo is etter in every aspect. Audio and video performance of the Oppo is at a different level than the Sony. I can't comment on Netflix since I don't use it. BTW Oppo is much faster than Sony. I have a 100' display with an Epson projector, Antohy Gallo reference 3.1, an Anthem pre/pro. I don't use the oppo for 2 channel music, but PS Audio Dac III-Music Hall CD25.2 pair is better for 2 channel music than the Oppo. I never listened to Musical Fidelity A324 DAC but it is one of top DACs and I bet it is still better than the Oppo (and of course the Sony).
