Greetings All!
I am in the hunt for a good integrated to build a system around. I have narrowed my search to the Sim i-5.3 or the Ayre AX-7e. I am currently running Sonus Faber Domus Concertino's with Nordost Baldur cables. I am looking for any feedback on the sonic differences between these integrated amps. I am looking for something I can grow with over time. I have also considered the Naim Nait XS, but my impression is that the Sim and Ayre would out perform the Naim....but I am open to suggestions. I am not running balanced connections currently and understand that the Ayre will perform better in balanced mode.
I think that about covers things for now...
I appreciate your thoughts and ideas...
Steve
I've had nothing but great experience with Simaudio products, particularly their integrated amplifiers. They seem to be designed and built with the same quality standards as their flagship separates, but scaled down in output power. I haven't heard the i5.3, but have been impressed by the i3 and i7.
