SACD and music servers

-- Sat, 01/10/2009 - 19:20

I'm relatively new to music server technology and debate, so I hope this is not a stupid question.  It is my understanding that music servers are not yet capable of providing SACD type output (stereo or multi-channel).  Is this correct?  If so, how does even lossless format compare to a good SACD system?  I really like SACD in my listening room, even at two-channel.  Will I lose this "absolute sound" if I go the music server route?  Thanks for clarifying this for me.
