Replacing JM Lab Chorus 705 speakers

ccumo@proxushr.com -- Wed, 06/02/2010 - 09:00

I have a small system in my office that is on all day (I spend more time here than at home, so good music through a quality system is key!).  I want to replace my 8 year old JM Lab Focal Chorus 705 speakers with something a little more resolving and with a little more weight.  The rest of the system is a Naim Nait 5i integrated (new and one of the best audio components on the planet!), an analog FM tuner, an NAD CD player and an iPod touch in an NAD docking station streaming Pandora.  My budget is $1000.00 US.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps the B&W 683 would be good or a Paradigm model ?

mwheelerk brought up a very good point with his recommendation.

If you like the 705s why not move up the line a bit - usually the further you go up the price points of a mfr's line the more resolution and bass extension you get, which is exactly what it sounds like you are looking for...
