I know many of us love this disc, but something bothers me which I hope someone can clarify.
Specifically, on the first cut -- "So What?" -- does Cannonball Adderley's alto sax sound bright in your systems? When Cannonball comes in with his solo, there are notes where the sound seems to push out of the speaker plane in a way that could be described as bright. I've heard this on a number of systems, but not on all. For example, on my Martin Logans that brightness on this track is there on some of his notes, which is never there for Coltrane.
On somewhat darker systems, like my 80s vintage Celestion SL6s, it isn't there.
I've tried several changes to hardware and setup, but could I be trying to eliminate what could be part of the recording itself? TIA.
It might be instructive to specify what KOB pressing(s) you hear this on; if it isn't already, it's one of the most reissued albums in history.

It's the reissued Sony CD with the alternate take of Flamenco Sketches.
