I notice the October 2006 issue of TAS does not include any PS Audio power conditioning equipment in the Editors' Choice Awards. Has PS Audio declined to offer equipment to TAS for review?
Maybe it was because PS Audio was in the middle of revamping their entire line.
In July-Sep (presumably the timeframe necessary for the October edition), there were no units available to review.
They've dropped all of their original power conditioners (P-300; P-500; P-1000) in favor of their new technology
Ywes Yes PS Audio Powerplant regeneration machines are very good indeed but for that money I cna buy an Exact power EP15A for my 2 channel rig a Running Springs Audio Duke-2 for my home theater and have money left to buy a multichannel amplifier and soem cables.
If you have decent gear the sonic diffenrece between the power plants and the Exact Power is not a few thousand dollar more, every AC devide you use will sound differnet and every system will react differnet to it this being especially true in the case of fornt end digital and tube equipment.
My Threshold S5000e change dramatically when connected to the wall though an Exact power and it liked it better than anything else i compared it against including the super expensive ones my classé DAC CAL DAC Bechmark Media DAC also changed to be more prisitne top end better sense of space and more tuneful invariably now soem other equipment liked better the Running springs audio theHailey is a little nasal but the DUKE-2 WOW man!!!! it brought the tubes home ina way nothing else would.
Yes AC power treatment or filtration or regeneration or whatever trick you can do to beter the noise floor and cut the grunge form the digital and endless computers and motors pool pumps, AC copmpressor refrigeretors motors, even ceiling fans and fluorecent lights are enough to mess a good power grid,
SO, yes a filter is imperative nowadays.

Not sure why in 2006 but in 2008 PS Audio power products received Product of the Year. The entire line of PS AC products received this recognition so maybe they just hadn't gotten around to figuring it out. :)

I hope this helps;
God Bless!;
