I have a pair of the Dialogue 7s and love them. To me they sounded like the dialogue 2, but on a grander scale. They have a lot more power. I felt the dialogue 2 was a little underpowered on my baby grands. They're warm, but not syrupy or overly colored. Too me they sound emotional but accurate. The triode switching is pretty cool too, especially late at night. I haven't owned any other tube amps, except a brief demo of the dialogue 2. I wanted something that didn't require and engineer's expertise and was easy to understand. I'm pretty picky and I've been very, very happy with the choice.
