Ok, it's not really an amp. I have a pair of Totem Forests and I have them hooked up to a NAD L53 (which I despise). I already know the NAD barely has enough to power the speakers - I'm looking for a new integrated amp (next part of my question). Before I start looking though, I have a problem. When low frequencies are pumped through the Totems, they 'sometimes' vibrate and distort the sound. Mind you, I have the NAD cranked up in volume to be able to play music at a listen-able level. Could the vibration be an issue with the NAD straining to keep up?
I'll likely look for an integrated amp - prefer to stay under $750 with shipping but with adequate power to drive my speakers. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
2 channel setup - I'll be using it for music mostly and I'll run the TV through them for so my wife can use the setup instead of the stock tv speakers.
Thanks!
The Music Hall 35.2 should fill the bill for an intergrated. Music Direct has them on sale for $799. Also did you add lead shot or sand to the bases
of your totems? That should fix your vibration problem. Good luck .
