Video, with shutter release activated AF
Stereo mic input
Shake reduction works for video
Very small body, but magnesium alloy
Weather seals (77)
100% viewfinder
RAW button for taking RAW on the fly
Electronic horizon levelling
Manual sensor shift for composition adjustment
I could go on, but at $1299 Pentax is clearly in the game. Lens selection is decent, though they'll probably never match Canon or Nikon. Pancake primes are least interesting.
All this sounds good. Not excited about raw button (shoot everything in raw). Raw button will go unused just as it did on K10/20D. Video might get used once in a while. Not much into video at the moment. At least they allow STEREO sound with external mikes. The 100% viewfinder will be a blessing. Owned more than 30 cameras but never one with100% viewfinder. Not sure about moving sensor around for composition. Doesn't seem like it would allow much range of movement. Must be used with live view. That kind of undoes the 100% optical view. Oh well, its another choice.
They already have them in Japan (home market). Little longer wait for us in the US. The Limited lenses are great. ALL image stabilized. Lets see we have about 24 million lens that can be stabilized. The big two might have 40 together. Hmm.
thanks
