PC for PSA Duet

Hi Eveybody.
This is my first post on this Forum.
I have a PS Audio Duet which is connected to the wall via a 12 gauge PSA Punch. PSA recommends using any of thier own cables w/ at least 10g. As I need at least 6' in length, a 10g PSA , even a used obsolete series, tends to be relatively expensive ($80 is the cheapest I've seen).
I'm wondering if I can use a "budget" 10g, like Empirical, Zebra or Signal. These are all less than $60 for 6'. Or, am I okay in staying with the 12g Punch?

Note that my amp is a 200wpc Aragon 4004 MKII for which I'm using a 12g Acoustic Research into the Duet. I want to upgrade the 12g to a 10g, probably to one of the budget brands listed above. I've read that the best PC in a system should be the one coming out of the wall into the conditioner. So, if I put a 10g into my amp, won't I need a 10g into the Duet?

Any advice would be appreciated.
