just purchased a new system and wonder if anyone has owned paradigm studio 100 v.4's and what your opinion of them is. I'm really impressed.
Thanks
Roger
Roger,
I have owned the Paradigm Studio 100 v.4's for about a year now. I have been very satisfied with them. I think their voice reproduction is excellent as is the midrange and treble. If anything, they may lack a little in the low end and could have a tad better soundstaging. These two minor quibbles may have as much to do with my associated equipment as the speakers themself. The bass is somewhat better with my 100 watt ss amp and the sound stage is better with my 60 watt tube amp. Wish I could use them both at the same time! For the money I don't think one can go wrong with the v4's.
Let me know if your listening experience reflects any of my observations!

Ally,
The solid state intergrated amp that I am using with my Paradigms is a Portal Panache, made by Portal Audio. I purchased it from Portal as a demo model for $1,300 plus shipping. It dosen't have many(or any) of the bells and whistles of more expensive amps but is over all a pretty darn good intergrated. I believe Portal Audio offers a 30 day trial and if you are not satisfied they will refund your purchase price less shipping. Other amps(Intergrateds) I would look into would be Naim and Creek. I am not sure about the cost-$1,500 to $2,500-I believe! Both the Naim and the Creek have real excellent reputations as good buys for the money.
Hope I have helped!

I own Paradigm studio v4 for about 1 year and really enjoy them! Must admit they are best for listening to classical and flamenco music rather and than rock and heavy metal. It's ok but it really brings out every detail when you listen to string instruments .

Hi,
I've bought a pair of these speakers as well but I'm still looking for a good stereo amp and pre-amp to drive them that'll cost me under $1500.
Any help would be appreciated.

Anthem (Paradigm's sister company) makes an integrated stereo amplifier: Integrated 225. You may want to check it out.
