Can the Panasonic AE900 be used in a room with some ambient light or do the colors all get washed out?

Thanks
Jim

As with all front projectors, the colors will get washed out in the presence of ambient light. One solution is a so-called "black screen" such as the Sony ChromaVue or Screen Innovations Visage, which use various techniques to reject ambient light while reflecting the projector's light. These screens can make front projectors look a lot better in the presence of ambient light, but nothing can make them look as good as they do in a completely darkened room.

I've seen the Screen Innovations product and it works amazingly well.
