Has anyone had a chance to look at the huge inflatable outdoor screens being offered at frontgate.com? They are available in two sizes eight and twelve foot 16 x9 and come with their own electric air pump. INlcudes a pair of self powered loudspeakersPresumably you'll need to take your front projector outdoors and set it up. perfect for watching Waterworld without leaving the pool!

Neil, something about this seems oh so Los Angeles. Give it time and I'm certain one of your neighbors will be inviting you over for a poolside viewing and barbeque sometime very soon.

I talked to a custom installer buddy and he says the pump has to run all the time to keep the screen inflated. "Sounds" like a funky design to me.

Barry-

the continuously running pump would be a drag but then again you can always crank the audio loud enough to drown it out-until your neighbors call the cops!

Did your installer buddy say what kind of screen material was used or its particular "gain"?

Bob,

Actually I did have an invite for a poolside screening...and then Mel had to go and get himself arrested.

Neil, I knew you were rubbing shoulders with the Hollywood elite. Well, even though Mel's out of the picture, maybe you can invite that people-loving Denzel Washington over instead.
