Optoma HD80 vs Epson Powerlite 1080

Both similarly priced, both have gotten excellent reviews. I'm looking at doing a new home theater when my home is complete, and building right at the 1.2x distance/width scale.

Basically, anyboth done a direct comparison???? Will be used for HD Direct TV programming, BluRay/HDDVD, and of course HD Gaming.

thanks

Both are excellent. The deciding factor for me would be this: how important is having lens shift? The Epson has it and the Optoma does not. If you can ceiling-mount the Optoma at the correct location relative to the screen, you don't need it. But if you need to be able to shift the image to align it with the screen, the Epson is the way to go.

great answer.

Scott, love hearing you on The Tech Guy each week. You need to do a regular Podcast with Leo. Your expertise would be a great asset if you could find the time for your own show instead of just doing the guest appearances.

Thanks again!
