Optoma BigVizion DLP RPTV

I am an enthusiastic, long term subscriber to TPV..congrats to the staff for an excellent product! I’m in the midst of a major home theatre project and I noted with great interest the excellent review of the Optoma BigVizion DLP RPTV in the September issue. Barry Willis and Scott Wilkinson are two of my favorite reviewers and, as usual, did a great job describing this interesting new product.

I’m very interested in the BigVizion 100 since it solves some serious design challenges. I’m gathering as much information about this product as possible (I’ve already done the Optoma web site downloads, Google, etc.).

Where can I get more info? I'm in San Antonio, TX and the challenges associated with purchase, shipping, installation and calibration seem daunting. If Barry or Scott could provide contact info for the Optoma product manager (David Tuttle) or engineering division director (Wing Chung) I would gladly contribute my firstborn (he's left home and is no longer a tax deduction so what the heck :-))

The answer to your question: Yes I tried contacting customer and sales support at Optoma without success.

I greatly appreciate guidance from the experts.

Hi Steve,

I agree that the Big Vizion solves some problems that projectors can create. One of the most appealing aspects about it is that it's bright and colorful in strong ambient light -- just the thing if you want to go all the way with a Super Bowl party. It's also relatively kid-proof.

I'm not sure it would be proper to share contact info in public -- I have an unlisted number to keep the inquiries at a minimum -- so I'll give you that privately.

thanks -

Barry Willis
