Once again problems with Hi Fi +

quadlover -- Fri, 09/02/2011 - 17:09

I received a note from the distributor of the digital version of HiFi + a couple of days ago announcing the availability of issue 81.  I sent an e-mail saying thanks but that I had downloaded it August 11.  On enjoythemusic.com the announcement of issue 82 was posted August 24.  As such I sent an email requesting when will 82 be available for download.  I keep getting a response that 81 is available and that the issue is closed.  I responded that I am not asking about issue 81 but issue 82. Again I get what appears like a form letter response that issue 81 is available and the issue is closed.
Is there a human that reads these and and can actually respond correctly to them   If issue 82 is not available for download just say it...don't keep saying issue 81 is.  And besides why do I get a note about 81's availability 3 weeks after it was available for download. Issue 81 was announced months ago on enjoythemusic.com.
I'm sorry to bring this up on a public forum but it seems it is the only was to get matters taken care of.  I quit subscribing to the physical version because of numerous issues and now I'm getting problems with the digital issues as well.
I enjoy reading the magazine but I truly wonder if the grief is worth it.  Anyone else having issues???

I don't know if the downloads are handled by the same site as TAS but I have been puzzled by the fact that the notification email for TAS seems to come long after the issue is available for download.

I only experienced that with the last issue. Not only was the notificatiion after I had downloaded it, but it was a couple of weeks after I had received the hard copy.

 Sorry all,

We are having some isolated difficulties at this time. If you contact the office (accounts [at] hifiplus [dot] com) we'll be able to help. As I don't have your account details to hand, it's better doing things this way than trying to expedite the matter on your behalf without knowing the full details of the problem.

When you get your issue 82, you'll probably see why there's been some turmoil here. My editorial contains an obituary for our accounts/book-keeper/office manager/subscriptions manager/all-round superhero Jackie, who passed just as issue 82 was going to press. We are in the process of finding a replacement. but it's hard to find someone capable of keeping that many plates spinning at once.

Kind Regards
