Oil for TT - advise appreciated...

I am trying to figure out which oil to use for my Bix+ TT - it has a thick platter with a simple bearing...the supplied oil is finished...I got the following from the supplier (who doesn't sell the TT anymore)...

something equivalent to a 30 weight (non-multigrade) non-detergent synthetic oil will work fine. The super slippery formulations are beneficial

...which only makes me more confused - can anyone interpret this for me? Does anyone have any advise in this matter?

I think if you take this specifications list to Pep Boys or some other automotive supply shop they should have what you need:

A fixed weight (thickness) 30 motor oil without added detergents that is synthetic (Such as Mobil One). Ask your salesperson if some of the formulations are "super slippery."

Clearaudio have a syntethic oil that they use for their tables, that is available for sale $35.00

After my cat almost demolished my Systemdek with an unappreciated (C)acrobatic feat, I bought some Mineral Oil from a Drug store as a temporary fix. 3 years later it still runs quieter than it did before the disaster, with the bearing cup & inner platter shaft clean as whistle. One dollar Eighty four cents....
