Hello folks and fellow audiophiles, I am extremely fortunate to be able to get from a good pal a pair of the above speakers. I am currently running a pair of Quad 2905's driven by Tenor HP300s fed by MBL reference pre and CD TRANS and DAC. I fully intend to keep hold of the Quads, perhaps in another system but I was wondering what it is I would gain and lose by installing the Nola's in my system. Any ideas out there??
Cheers
JK
Hi JK
The Nolas are fantastics loudspeakers in my opinion the most musical ones ever made and in comparison with quads, I have the chance to listen both loudspeakers with practically the same electronics and the nolas were by far better in everything.
I was listening music with the nola with the others just a very good ones but not magic here and recently bought a pr of martin logan clxs which are extremely fast and revealing but if I had the chance to listen the nolas before I would choose them over the ML
the Nola Baby Grand Reference is a KILLER speaker system; period. Musical, its gets out of the way, and is engaging without ANY fatigue. Currently my favorite line, and I've been a fan for YEARS
