NAD integrateds with Theils?

Has anyone listened to something like the 150 wpc NAD C375BEE integrated amp with Theil speakers?  The NAD, supposedly stable and sweet with 4 ohm loads should, in theory, be a good match with my current-hungry Theil 3.6s.  If this would work, I'd save thousands of $$ over the cost of a preamp/power amp combo.  So, enquiring ears want to know, has anyone tried this?

Thanks - Boomzilla

The NAD will sound OK even play loud but just will not do the Theils justis.  The Theils have tremendously great bass and you will not be able to get the most out of them.  The 300W bryston amp will do the job.  if trying to save money then consider even lower powered used bryston amps.  As for intergrated amps, forget any negatives you May have hear about tube amps, the Joldia JD1000 has fantastic bass and can put out huge current.  The only negative is that you need to replace the power output tubes in 5 years or so and the musical positives and ability to play loudly with less risk to speaker damage are way in ones' favor. I have a friend with PSB stratus golds with 10 inch woofer and low impedence,  and 150 W NAD, 200W Rotel and 250W Parasounds amps he tried just would not do the job and he ended up spending the larger amount of money on the 300 W Bryston.  I have several speakers systems, one has 12" woofer and MTM and dips to 3 ohms several places ant at the critical 150 hertz crossover point from woofer to the two midranges.  My Jolida JD801 does a fantastic job driving these speakers at near rock concert levels in my 14 by 30 foot room with high slopping ceiling.  But I wanted that little extra bit of bass control, so I borrowed a JD1000 and got that. Best bass ever and even better detail and smoothness in the mid range all for only $2400.
the JD1000 will be my next investment.
