Sorry for my poor english........
Could somebody help me ?
Do you have an opinion about this set: Musical Fidelity, preAmp. F22 and Amp. FX ?
How does-it sound ? which are the weak points ?
is this fragile hardware ? and how much should I pay ?
Thank you in advance,

Hi,
I can comment partially, as I have an FX power amp but not the F22. I use the pre-amp stage from a Meridian 207 CD player. The sound is full and bass is deep. I use Mission 753 speakers. I would say that the F22/FX amps need good quality cables and speakers (and obviously a good source) to get the best from them. I remember reading a What HI-FI review which gave them 4 out of 5 stars.
At the time of manufacture, Musical Fidelity was advertsing the F22 as a good partner for the F16 power amp. In some respects, the F22 may be too good for the FX, although I think the FX doesn't disgrace my setup.
The FX is very solid and very heavy ~18kg, not fragile at all. The F22 is valve based, so care must be taken in moving it.
New prices were 1100 GBP for the FX and 1000 GBP for the F22. Although they are about 15 years old, I would expect to pay at least the equivalent of 1000 GBP for the pair, more if you live outside the UK as new prices would have been higher. Remember that it would be difficult to get anything new as good as the F22/FX, for that sort of money today.
Good luck - if you buy good quality examples, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
