Hi all and congratulations for this great forum! I have recently upgraded my High End system with two new components that I am sure will be of interest for the members of the Forum. Both of them are from a quite new Italian manufacturer, H.E.A.D., that a friend of mine introduced some months ago. Well, now my speakers are in BI-amping configuration. The amplifier is called M.U.SI.C.A ( nice name, isn't it?) which stands for "Modular Unit Silicon Core Amplifier". For the ones that don't know what is this configuration about, actually there is a separate amplifier for each of the two ways of my speakers. In this way the crossover interactions are reduced to the minimum, same for inter-modulation, and more than that each amplifier is heavily loaded just for the audio spectrum it is reproducing. The result is to have much more dynamic room. I have purchased one amplifier for each speaker, and I have to say that the result is really Amazing! Even compared with my previous NAD 2200 that is well known to have a lot of "power reserve". Then, the preamplifier. This one is instead called TU.LI.P which stands for "TUbe LIke Preamplifier", and the main characteristic is that is meant to reproduce the very same "warm" and "rich" sound of a tube preamplifier...using solid state electronic components! I have no clue of the technology used behind...but believe me...the result is a clean audible difference compared to the other preamplifier I have heard before! The music scene has gained a lot of depth, and now I am never tired about listening to a piece of music. I am really satisfied!!! More than sharing my listening experience with the Forum, I would really appreciate to receive some feedback in case you have tried the same products, or similar technologies. Thanks in advance!
