Music & it's reproduction (for, but not limited to, those 50+)

I've been a music guy pretty much most of my life. My critical listening began in 1957 when Uncle Harry offered me a 2 piece Webcor HI FI featuring a detachable 8" speaker. WOW.... I was hooked. So here I am, still enjoying the music and still reaching for that 'live and in the room with me" sound. FAT CHANCE...but I think I'm getting closer. Now that I'm retired I've taken on various projects to sharpen my mind...especially during the cold and snowy months. One of them is my MY SPACE blog where I attempt to inform those 50+ regarding audio gear and music that I think they will enjoy...you know, alternates to those 'golden oldies'.
