Is Meridian 808.3 a worthwhile upgrade to Esoteric X-03 SE?

I love my Esoteric X-03 SE sacd/cd player. But the time has come for me to upgrade and I have set my sights on the Meridian 808.3 CD player. I have a huge collection of CDs and I thought this would be be best served by the 808.3 because of its breakthrough apodising filter that eliminates not only pre-ringing in playback but also pre-ringing in the music signal during recording. Has anyone heard the 808.3 so as to provide me some feedback?
