Meitner DACs

Cemil Gandur -- Mon, 06/16/2008 - 03:59

The only 2-channel one that they seem to have out at the moment is the DCC-2 which combines a preamp section. Does anyone know if they have the intention of coming out with a 2-channel DAC without the preamp section?

Has anyone done any tests on the preamp section of the DCC-2 versus a standalone preamp of excellent quality ?

Thanks for any help.

Super - thanks.

Any comments from anyone regardign the preamp section of the DCC-2 ?

The preamp section is good, but not in the same league as a stand-alone unit such as the Mark Levinson No.326s to which I compared it.

Nothing on their web site ...

Is it basically the DCC-2 without the preamp section? or is it a new design?

I would be grateful if you could post or send me some more info.

It is supposed to be new. I have not opened it and I am leaving for a trip and won't be able to get into it until I return after the 6th. Sorry

No hurry - whenever you do, it would be great to hear your comments.

new dcc2 remains a dac-preamp: u can bypass the preamp and use it only as a 2 channel dac.
