Based on information from the net, it seems that the motor for this TT sits in a hole cut out in the plinth - ideal for isolation purposes.
What I don't get is how does one ensure that the motor/platter belt tension remains constant, devoid of 'play' as you touch the motor switch to turn it on, etc. Couple reviewers have noted that one must be careful not to move the motor into contact with the plinth while operating the power swtich - implying there is a little play in the hole that the motor occupies.
Perhaps I am over-analyzing this.
Comments (from actual owners?) would be welcome.
