Magico V3 - more info please

Thanks to Bob Harley for his insightful review of the Magico V3 in the latest TAS. Its a good read with informative sidebars.

Pardon me if I missed this info in the review - any followup is appreciated:

- What is the base of the V3? It is hard to gauge from the TAS pictures, which suggest a rectangular frame coming off the birch ply enclosure. I saw a picture of the V3 at the recent CES and it looks like the speaker is resting on an additional base which is on carpet, suggesting it may not have spikes. What is A.Wolf's philosophy of coupling the speaker to the floor?

- I recall the article cites the ARC 110 and a Levinson as reference amps. How did the V3 take to these amps? Are there caveats on amps that, while falling within the V3's power requirements, may not otherwise be suited to it? Comments on amplification and power requirements are most welcome.

- Any comments or caveats on speaker positioning? What worked well? I realize this can be room dependent.
