I just recently got back into vinyl and pulled all of my old LPs out of the garage where they were kept in cardboard legal boxes for about 20 years or so.  They weathered the storage fine and are in perfect condition.   Now that I bought a brand new turntable, a Denon DP-500M (not that it really matters) and a fine cartridge and am back to vinyl for good, I'm looking for a suitably attractive piece of furniture to accommodate my collection of about 300 really fine records.  I've scoured the internet and various furniture stores to no avail.  Has anyone found anything nice upon which to keep my LPs that isn't an ugly cardboard box or some really crappy low end bookrack?  I'm all eyes....

Do some web searching.   They aren't hard to find.  Try Audio Advisor, Music Direct, Elusive Disc or just plain Google.

I was going to recommend the Per Madsen RACKIT record storage racks, but when I looked for the link, I found out their web address was no longer active. I'm afraid it must mean that either Per has retired or gone out of business. Too bad. They are great, and attractive, LP storage units.

Per retired about a year ago. He will be missed.

Thanks Etienne,
I wish I had purchased several more RACKIT units prior to Per's retirement.

If you have a Ikea near you, try the BESTÅ shelving units.  If you remove the middle shelf, they are perfect for LP storage.  They also make pretty good equipment racks.
