I want to thank the reviewer who, in the latest issue, noted how a system sounded when played at less than concert levels. This is rare. I listen in a small room in nearfield conditions and seldom play any music really loud. It is good to read abut how a speaker sounds when played at less than front row center conditions.
I have found that many speakers that play very well and might just sound magic are less than wonderful in my near field world at more modest levels. mentioning how a speaker sounds in such conditions was refreshing.
Thanks
I regularly test both electronics and small speakers in a nearfield system.
I think nearfield systems offer listeners the opportunity to experience two-channel music in a more direct and involving way than room-based systems.
